In late 2003, CyberWeld undertook a project at Hydro Automotive Structures, based in Worcester. Its a smaller division of Hydro Aluminium, the large Norwegian company involved with manufacturing aluminium and focusing on global energy issues. Hydro are currently contracted to build the Aston Martin DB9 chassis, which unlike many other manufacturers is a full aluminium structural assembly that is glued together. This made it a unique project and quite a challange.

We were commissioned to install a system which utilised a Scanrex dosing unit and a Fanuc R-2000iA Robot to administer adhesive beads on all neccessary areas of the chassis. We are proud to say that to date, we have produced over 1400 chassis's for Hydro, on time and within budget.
